He was a sales project manager for CS Stucco & Plaster in North Haledon for more than 10 years. He attended the Jacksonville Chapel in Lincoln Park. He is survived by his wife Brenda (nee Douma), his sons Devon, Kyle, and Chase, his parents Jack and Joyce DeJong, his siblings Bruce, and Laurie Bouwer, and four nieces and a nephew. Ethel DeMyer of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Midland Park and Mason, Ohio, died Nov. 25. She was 85. She was employed by the Midland Park Board of Education as a school lunch lady aide and previously had been employed by the Ridgewood Board of Education, also as a school lunch aide. She was an advisor to the Midland Park Junior Football Cheerleading and had served as a Midland Park High School Color Guard Mom. She is survived by her children Sharon Muilenburg of Mason, Ohio, Keith DeMyer of Lakeland, Florida, and Bruce DeMyer of Winchester, California, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Robert (“Bob”) DeMyer. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Mary E. “Betty” Gallagher, nee Brown, of Wyckoff, formerly of Paramus, died Nov. 27. She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Saint Elizabeth in New Jersey. Before retiring, she worked for Lord & Taylor in Paramus. She was a volunteer at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. She is survived by her children Brian Gallagher of Allendale, MaryLee Gallagher of Glen Rock, Jim Gallagher of Wyckoff, Tom Gallagher of Mahwah, and 10 grandchildren. Arrangements were made by C.C. Todd DeJong Eva Susanne Hellinger, nee Anschel, of Franklin Lakes died Nov. 20. She was 82. She was born in Germany in 1930. In 1939, she and her parents, Dr. Eric and Charlotte (Jacobson) Anschel, moved to Bolivia to flee Nazi occupation. Before moving to La Paz, she lived in a rural, remote village, where her father was employed by the government as a physician. In 1955, she and her mother moved to the U.S. She is survived by her husband Martin of Franklin Lakes, her children Elise of New York City, Bruce of Hawaii, Belinda of Wyckoff, and two grandchildren. Harold “Lucky” Holden of Franklin Lakes died Nov. 25. He was 77. He attended Duke University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. His career in overseas shipping began in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Europe, where he worked in Oslo, Norway, Rotterdam, Netherlands, and London, England. He was president of Great Lakes Overseas, Inc. in New York City, executive vice president of Trans Freight Lines in Rutherford, and managing director of the Trans Atlantic Associated Freight Conference before his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the High Mountain Golf Club, the Indian Trail Club, and served on the Franklin Lakes Environmental Commission. He is survived by his wife Carole Webb Holden, his children Leslie Holden of Wyckoff and Michael of Ramsey, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. She was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Eva Susanne Hellinger Wyckoff. She is survived by her children Susan B. Diorio of Murrieta, California, Cynthia M. Rymer of Walnut Creek, California, and David C. Lyle of Ramsey, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Charles. Maloney, her children Frank Maloney of Rossville, Georgia, Mary Anne Buonadies of Wyckoff, Kathleen Alessandrino of Phoenix, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Olthuis Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Edna M. Reimer, nee Mullanaphy, of Midland Park died Nov. 25. She was 84. Before retiring, she was employed as a bookkeeper for several area real estate companies. She is survived by her sister Helen Wisbauer, her nephews James and David Wisbauer, eight great-nieces and nephews, and seven great, great-nieces and nephews.
