Midland Park Police (continued from page 14) enter a supermarket carrying a bag that seemed somewhat empty. A short time later, the male was observed running out of the store with the bag, which appeared to be full. Gibbons ordered the male to stop, and he refused. Gibbons chased the subject, but lost track of him. Officers from surrounding police departments were called in to assist in the search. At 3:35 p.m., the male was apprehended by Acting Chief Michael Marra. He was transported to headquarters, processed, and charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest. The subject was remanded to the Bergen County Jail after failing to post bail. Officer Christopher Birch took custody of the bag, which store employees recovered in the parking lot. The bag contained $106 worth of Similac baby formula.
