Pascack Community Bank holds ribbon cutting

Pascack Bancorp, Inc., the holding company for Pascack Community Bank, announced the banks grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for the bank’s new corporate offices and seventh branch located in Waldwick. The reception, which took place March 29 at the bank’s new headquarters located at 64 Crescent Avenue, included honorary guests Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and Waldwick Mayor Thomas Giordano, who jointly officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony along with Jon F. Hanson, chairman of the board; Bruce M. Meisel, president & CEO; senior management and Waldwick branch managers. The evening began with opening remarks and a welcome from Meisel, which included an acknowledgement of the outstanding skill and workmanship of the local contractors and trades who helped to make Pascack’s vision of the Waldwick facility a reality. This was followed by the introduction of the Lieutenant Governor, who addressed the audience with a synopsis of the primary role community banks play in supporting local area businesses which are vital to New Jersey’s economy. Guests at the reception also had an opportunity to tour the bank’s new three-story combined branch, loan and executive offices, network with local business owners, (continued on page 15)
Thomas J. Kemly, president and CEO of Columbia Bank, has announced that Leslie M. Malone has been promoted to vice president, SBA lending officer in charge of the bank’s Small Business Administration loan portfolio, while Joseph A. Barone has been promoted to vice president, commercial lending officer. Prior to joining Columbia in 2006 as a commercial lender, Barone served in a similar position at Sovereign Bank. Barone is a member of the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Garden State Credit Association, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Barone graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned an MBA in finance from Rutgers University. He resides in Wayne. accountant and has held a number of positions within the bank’s Commercial Lending Department. In 2002, she was promoted to Small Business Administration loan officer. Malone is an active member of the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the Paterson Rotary Club. She also volunteers her time as a children’s mentor and is a coordinator for the MOBC Mock Trial Program which teaches the legal and investigative process to Bergen County youth. Malone is a graduate of Ramapo College, where she received bachelor’s degrees in political science and international studies. She resides in Hackensack.
