Margaret R. “Peg” Greenhalgh, nee Russell, of Wyckoff died March 31. She was 84. Born in Preston, England, she immigrated to the United States in 1940. She was the public assistance director for the Township of Wyckoff for over 20 years. She was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church. She is survived by her sons William R. Greenhalgh of Belle Mead and G. Richard Greenhalgh of Lebanon, her granddaughter Amanda, and her sister Irene “Betty” Cain of Hudson, Florida. Greenhalgh John Paul Ireland Jr. of Wyckoff died April 2. He was 83. Before retiring in 1984, he worked as a technical superintendent for the DuPont Corporation in Pompton Lakes for 34 years. He was a mason for 56 years. He was a member of Genesis Lodge No. 88 F&M of Pompton Lakes, Mountain View Lodge No. 154 F&M of Wayne, member at large of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Northern New Jersey, Salaam Temple AAONMS, where he was a member of the Potentate’s Aides and the Executive Club. He was a past president of the Lakeland Shrine Club, and was a member and past director of the Royal Order of Jesters, Newark Court No. 37, and a member of the Kachina Klub. He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peggy” (nee Yust) Ireland, his children Paul W. Ireland of Wayne and Margaret “Betsy” Kiess of Hewitt, and five grandchildren. Ann Lazzara Di Santo of Whiting, formerly of Franklin Lakes and Paterson, died April 3. She was 88. She was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for her husband at The Wodow’s Tavern in Paterson. Before retiring, she was employed at Singer Kearfott. She is survived by her children Geraldine Hoffner Canova of Little Egg Harbor, John Lazzara of Wayne, and Joy Ann Minardi Zuppichini of Spring Lake, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her sister Theresa Bollinger of North Haledon. She was 91. She was an original member of the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. She is survived by her daughter Donna L. Mariani of Cornwall, New York, three grandchildren, and her sister Evelyn Waehler of Midland Park. Schoof, nee Beattie, of Waldwick, formerly of Clifton and Wyckoff, died March 30. She was 100. Before retiring, she worked as the treasurer for the New York firm that built the Empire State Building. She is survived by her brother Matthew Beattie of Delaware; her niece Mae Remer of Clifton; and her nephews Joseph Putz of Hawthorne, Dennis Beattie of Maryland, Alan Beattie of Delaware, and Charles Schoof of North Carolina. She was a homemaker. She served as president of the Valley Auxiliary Bridge Club, and was a member of the Ramsey Bridge Club and the Saint Elizabeth’s Bridge Club. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Hebner of Wyckoff, her granddaughters Julia and Rachel Hebner, and her sister Marilyn Pearce of Duncanville, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband James S. Tamm of Millbrook and Poughkeepsie, New York, formerly of Wyckoff and New York City, died March 25. He was 61. He completed his business degree at New York University and received a master’s degree in business from Columbia University. He worked in the financial industry, for the City of New York, and most recently for the Duchess County Board of Realtors. He was a member of the Poughkeepsie Reformed Church. He is survived by his sons William C. Tamm and Christopher W. Tamm, his mother Martha Tamm, and his sister Judy Tamm Morton. He was predeceased by his father John Tamm. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to the Poughkeepsie Library. Norma J. Van Beusichen of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Wyckoff, died March 31. She was 90. She was a member of the Midland Park Methodist Church. She was past president of the Wyckoff Woman’s Club and a member of the League of Women Voters. She is survived by her son Paul of Florida, and her sister Lois Anderson of New York. Memorial donations may be made to a local hospice. Helen D. Wood of Midland Park died April 4. She was 92. Before retiring in 2004, she was a mortgage clerk for Valley National Bank for 10 years. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth R.C. Church in Wyckoff, where she sang in the choir and had been a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a former member of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Elmer “Woody” Wood.
