Dr. Dawn DiMuro will lead the class. The fee is $8. Cash or checks made payable to Dawn DiMuro will be accepted. Attendees should bring a yoga mat, a large beach towel, and a water bottle. Learn to manage stress The Midland Park Christian Reformed Church will present “Managing Stress” with Eve Thaler, M.A., M.ED, on Wednesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at the church, which is located at 183 Godwin Avenue. Thaler, a licensed professional counselor at West Bergen Mental Healthcare in Ridgewood and Oakland, has participated in community mental health centers since 1978. She specializes in anxiety disorders, such as social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and stress management. The workshop will include a question and answer period, and refreshments will be served. This program is free of charge and is open to the public. Softball association sets meeting The Midland Park Softball Association will meet April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Midland Park Library at 250 Godwin Avenue. All are invited to attend. Register for Sprint Story Times The Midland Park Memorial Library will hold registration for Spring Story Times from April 16 through 20 in the children’s room of the library located at 250 Godwin Avenue. Programs include Toddler Story Time on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. from April 25 through May 23, and a Preschool Story Time to be held on Thursdays at either 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. from April 26 through May 24. Story Times are developmentally appropriate and encourage children to interact with books and express their creativity through open-ended craft activities. Library board to meet The Midland Park Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the library located at 250 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park. Meetings are open to the public. Mashos to present lecture Kari Mashos, a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science healing, will present “Faith, Christianity, Healing: A Lecture on Christian Science” on April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 259 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park. Mashos is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. The ideas shared in Mashos’ lecture are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as discussed in the book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy. Before devoting herself full-time to the practice and teaching of Christian Science, Mashos was an opera singer, and founded her own opera company. She has appeared live on radio in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. She speaks internationally as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
