He had his own landscaping business while in high school and knew that he wanted to take that experience to a new level when he graduated from college. Quality growers take the time to do it right and do not force plants by overfertilizing,” he explains, noting that plants grown slowly are healthier and better able to withstand disease and insects. “We sell quality,” Meyer says. He adds that he also looks for growers that do not use and/or overuse pesticides, because it is better for the environment.
