The article, ‘Rewriting the Sibyl or Teaching Vergil from Translation,’ focuses on making the English translation an ‘accomplished work of art.’ Starikovsky demonstrated effective ways of using literary translations in the academic context by providing his students with three moderately challenging passages and then asking his students to read and examine critically the three translations. Individual interpretation and class discussions ensure that students have grasped an understanding of the original Latin passages and were able to see the importance of rich English translations. If a voter has moved from one election district to another in the same town or has moved to another town in Bergen County before Nov. 8, 2011, but did not notify the county office in writing by Oct. 18, 2011, he or she must vote at the new polling location in his or her municipality on the day of the general election. The office of the Bergen County Superintendent of Elections is responsible for voter registration and all associated concerns, issuing voter acknowledgement cards, maintaining custody of voting machines and poll books, and other duties relating to the enforcement of elections laws. On Nov. 8, voters will cast their ballots for the New Jersey Senate and Assembly, county clerk, surrogate, freeholders, and local candidates. The program concluded with an emphasis on rekindling the sense of community that engulfed this country in the days and weeks after the attack.
