This eight-week celebration is scheduled to begin on Dec. 2 with an opening ceremony in Veterans’ Memorial Park. This year’s festival will present a wide variety of activities for participants of all ages, including charity drives, contests for all ages, dining and retail events, and opportunities to discover the Chamber seeks sponsors for WinterFest celebration region’s remarkable history and cultural diversity. The theme for this year’s festival is “Supporting Our Military Moms and Troops,” and a portion of the proceeds will go to the North Jersey Military Moms, the Mahwah Marine Moms, and the Chamber Organization of the Year. Business and family sponsors are needed from the $25 level to the $5,000 level. Donations from previous festivals have lit the Veterans’ Tree, helped families in need through the Center for Food Action, funded family-friendly exhibits at the Mahwah Museum, and helped maintain the Veterans’ Tree. Tours will begin at the HPC booth. The 1:30 p.m. tour will include the Ramapo Reformed Church and cemetery. The 2:30 p.m. tour will cover the Old Train Station Museum and Caboose. Stop by the Ramapo Reformed Church’s annual Pasta Dinner, which will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This full meal will include stuffed shells, bread and butter, beverage, and dessert for $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
