The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce is now planning for this year’s WinterFest. This eight-week celebration is scheduled to begin on Dec. 2 with an opening ceremony in Veterans’ Memorial Park. This year’s festival will present a wide variety of activities for participants of all ages, including charity drives, contests for all ages, dining and retail events, and opportunities to discover the

The theme for this year’s festival is “Supporting Our Military Moms and Troops,” and a portion of the proceeds will go to the North Jersey Military Moms, the Mahwah Marine Moms, and the Chamber Organization of the Year. Business and family sponsors are needed from the $25 level to the $5,000 level. Donations from previous festivals
have lit the Veterans’ Tree, helped families in need through the Center for Food Action, funded family-friendly exhibits at the Mahwah Museum, and helped maintain the Veterans’ Tree. The 1:30 p.m. tour will include the Ramapo Reformed Church and cemetery. The 2:30 p.m. tour will cover the Old Train Station Museum and Caboose. Stop by the Ramapo Reformed Church’s annual Pasta Dinner, which will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This full meal will include stuffed shells, bread and butter, beverage, and dessert for $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12. To ease traffic congestion, Mahwah Day attendees are encouraged to use the shuttle vans that will run to the parking areas at Lincoln Tech on McKee Drive.
