The Ramsey Police Department has charged a 33-year-old Wyckoff man with lewdness following an incident that took place on Sept. 1. On that date, the Ramsey Police Department was dispatched to the bicycle path in the area of Tisdale School on a report of a naked male in the area. Ramsey Police officers responded, and Detective Brad Smith observed a male lying on a pink blanket. The male was located in the northeast corner of the field near a small pond. Detective Smith drove across the field toward the male, who attempted to place a piece of clothing across his groin. Police directed the man to stand up and

observed that he was naked with the exception of a white athletic style sock. During the course of this investigation and based several previous complaints, the man was criminally charged as with lewdness in the fourth degree for an incident on Aug. 12, in which a six year old and a two year old had observed him; lewdness, a disorderly persons offense for an incident on July 28, in which an anonymous female observed him; and lewdness, a disorderly persons offense for the Sept. 1 incident. Judge Rotolo assigned a first appearance court date of Sept. 13. The man was released from custody without incident.
