Page 10 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • October 26, 2011 Ramsey The Ramsey Board of Education and the community recently gathered for the dedication of the Ramsey High School Athletic Complex in memory of Lou Molino. For nearly five decades, Molino served the district as a teacher, an assistant coach in track and field and basketball, head coach for track, athletic director, track official, and mentor. Molino grew up in Ridgewood and was a long-time resident of Ramsey. He died suddenly on Super Bowl Sunday 2011. He had served the Ramsey Public Schools and community for over 48 years. Athletic complex dedicated in memory of Lou Molino During his tenure, he established himself as one of the most successful track and cross country coaches in Bergen County history. His teams garnered numerous league, county, and state awards. Over the years, Molino has been recognized as Bergen County Coach of the Year, YMCA Man of the Year, Athletic Director of the Year, and Track Official of the Year. The Big North All-Sports Banner, which recognizes athletes throughout the league, was previously named the Lou Molino Sports Banner by the league’s committee.
