Ramsey October 5, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • Page 7 Ramsey Responds, a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to serving those members of the community who are in need of assistance, has announced its autumn calendar of events. On Saturday, Oct. 22, Ramsey Responds will hold its annual Clothing Drive from 8 to 10 a.m. This year’s effort, “Keep Someone Warm This Winter,” will be held at the Ramsey Rescue Building located across from Ramsey High School and next to the Ramsey Fire and Ambulance Corps Building. The group will accept winter clothing for all ages, including coats, mittens, jackets, scarves, hats, and boots. Comforters, warm bedspreads, and blankets are also urgently needed. All donated items should be clean and tear free and ready for use. When the drive ends at Ramsey Responds sets autumn calendar of events 10 a.m., Ramsey Responds will open its doors to anyone in the community who is in need. On Nov. 18, the organization will hold its annual Thanksgiving Day Drive to provide food and gift cards to community members who are in need. Food donations will be accepted from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ramsey Senior Center located in Finch Park. Monetary donations may be made any time. Since the group was formed, Ramsey Responds has provided food, clothing, household items, and financial assistance to help pay medical, rent, temporary housing, and utility bills.
