At 3:18 a.m. on Nov. 4, Patrolman Craig Weber conducted a motor vehicle stop on Hilltop Road. At the conclusion of the stop, a 44-year-old Ramsey woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated. At 5:44 a.m. that day, Patrolman Tim Shoemaker was dispatched to a Route 17 hotel on an ambulance request. At the conclusion of the call, a 45-year-old Middletown man was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. On Nov. 9 at 9:10 p.m., Patrolman Mike Parise conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 17 North for a speeding vehicle. During the stop, an odor of burnt marijuana

was detected. At the conclusion of the stop, an Allendale man, 20, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Patrolman Erik Sanders arrested and served a traffic warrant upon a 55-year-old borough man on Nov. 10 at 10:40 a.m. At 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, Patrolman Anthony Fiore investigated an occupied vehicle behind a North Franklin Turnpike business. At the conclusion of the investigation, a Hackensack man, 32, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. On Nov. 18 at 3 p.m., Officer Diane Bornkamp was dispatched to an Interstate Shopping Center business for a shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 34-year-old woman from Airmont, New York was arrested for shoplifting. On Nov. 20 at 5:44 p.m., Patrolman Marc Shingelo was dispatched to an Inter-
state Shopping Center business for a female shoplifter in custody. At the conclusion of the investigation, a 46-year-old woman from Suffern, New York was arrested for shoplifting.
The Ramsey Fire Department will host its annual Home for the Holidays event on Saturday, Dec. 3. This nighttime walking mall will open at 6 p.m. The parade will begin from Dater School at 7:15 p.m. Santa will visit Terri O’Connor Real Estate at 45 Main Street at 6 p.m. He will meet with children and later join the “Parade of Lights,” riding on the fire department’s America La France antique engine. Santa has held this seat of honor in the parade since 1927. After the parade, he will light the decorations at fire headquarters and return to the Terrie O’Connor location for more visits with area chil-

dren. On Sunday, Dec. 4, Santa will visit the firehouse on Island Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Children may have their photo taken with him and a light breakfast will be available.
