Page 12 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • May 25, 2011 Ramsey Annual Relay for Life raises funds for cancer research The annual American Cancer Society 2011 Relay for Life recently took place at the Ramsey High School field. The event began with a skydiver landing on the field with a huge American flag. After the national anthem, the crowd was greeted by Mayor Chris Botta, Principal Richard Lio and other speakers, as well as cancer survivors. The 67 teams of 695 participants raised over $168,000 for the event. The UPS team raised the most with $14,565, followed by Team I Heart with $13,847 and the Ramsey Juniors with $9,075.
