Mahwah May 18, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • Page 11 The Greater Ramsey UNICO recently presented Mahwah High School student Hannah Remo with a donation for her upcoming summer overseas. Remo, an MHS sophomore, will volunteer with Projects Abroad on their Care projects in Ghana, during the summer. She will be working with children in care homes and orphanages, helping children learn life skills that parents would normally teach. By getting involved in the day-to-day running of a care center or orphanage -- making sure children are fed, washed, and dressed, and paying them personal attention, volunteers help to shape lives of young people, preparing them for a better life. All Projects Abroad programs are run solely by student contributions. Remo is Student receives UNICO support for summer overseas required to pay for all of her living and travel expenses.
