The event will be held at noon at the center, 475 Corporate Drive in Mahwah. The event will feature clothing provided by Annie Sez of Ramsey and modeled by eight women from the center. Lunch, catered by Nu Way Caterer of Kearney, will include salads and sandwiches, cookies, coffee, tea, and soda. Servers will include senior men and members of the Mahwah Council. Pack 258 welcomes new members Cub Scout Pack 258 of Mahwah invites boys in kindergarten through grade five to a May 24 recruitment meeting. Chamber Business & Food Expo set The Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Meadowlands Regional and the Hackensack Regional chambers of commerce will host Connections 2011: A Business & Food Expo, on Thursday, May 12. The event will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, 355 Plaza Drive in Secaucus. Connections 2011 will feature exhibits from companies in food service, hospitality, technology, financial services, wellness, and many other local industries. Area companies are invited to buy booths to promote their businesses. Attendees will meet some of the area’s premier business leaders, sample their products, and share ideas, contacts, and business referrals. The cookbook contains 425 recipes, and costs $20. The cookbook is now available at the church or nursery school office, 125 Glasgow Terrace. Elks host Pasta Night The Mahwah Elks, 1 Foxwood Lane in Mahwah, will host an All-You-Can-Eat Pasta Night on Friday May 6 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The cost of this event will be $8 for seniors, $9 for adults, and $5 for children ages six through 12; children age five and under will be admitted free. Adults may register for softball Registration for Mahwah’s adult softball program will be held at the recreation building, 70 East Ramapo Avenue, on Thursday, May 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Players must be at least 21 years old, and must provide proof of residency. The registration fee is $25. The season will begin on June 20. Men will play on Mondays and Wednesdays; women on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Members of Mahwah Brownie Troop 1429 recently had their first camping experience at Lake Rickabear in Kinnelon. The girls had fun with a clothing relay race, a hike, and a campfire with s’mores. Seniors to see ‘Miss Abigail’s Guide’ The Mahwah Seniors will sponsor a trip to “Miss Abigail’s Guide to Dating, Mating, and Marriage!” starring Eve Plumb of “The Brady Bunch” fame. The trip will be Wednesday, May 25. The excursion will depart from Mahwah at 10 a.m. Seniors will be on their own for lunch. Tickets cost $37 per person.
