The event will include three games of bowling, shoes, buffet dinner, prize baskets, and a cash prize. Tickets are $40 per person; $35 for children age 12 and under. Net proceeds benefit the DACKKs Group, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, now in its second decade of providing safe, decent, and affordable permanent and supportive housing to homeless adults, many of whom are disabled, and children. Providing a leg up, not a handout, tenants are selected not on their ability to pay market rent, but on their ability to pay a rent that is affordable to them. Rent is based on 30 percent of their income.
