As part of the experiences for Ramsey High School students enrolled in the parenting education and child development class, Ramsey preschool age children are invited to participate in a preschool program supervised by Ramsey High School students and the home economics teaching staff. Registration forms for the October 2011 preschool class will be available at the high school’s general office on March 17, beginning no earlier than 9 a.m. The class for preschoolers meets three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, for approximately two-and-a-half hours each day. Preschool participation is available only to Ramsey residents. Preschool students must be four years of age by Oct. 1, 2011. A gender balance (e.g., 50% male, 50% female) is preferred, and will affect the selection order. If applications exceed the program capacity, preschool students will be selected by lottery. The lottery process will be by order of postmark received no earlier than March 17, 2011. All applications with the same postmark date will receive equal consideration in the lottery. A $65 fee will be charged per pre-school child for the school year.
