Women’s support group offered The First Presbyterian Church at 15 Shuart Lane will host a women’s support group on Wednesdays through Aug. 31. All women are welcome to attend. The summer meetings will begin will a short walk around the block at 7 p.m. and will continue with a discussion at 7:30 p.m. Topics to be addressed will include job loss, health and weight concerns, or simply growing older. Farmers Market under way The Ramsey Farmers Market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Main Street train station, rain or shine. A

Vacation Bible School holds registration, seeks volunteers The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer will hold its Vacation Bible School Aug. 8 through 12. The historic Ramsey Train Station built in the 1840s was the depot for local farmers who brought their produce for transport to Paterson and beyond. Adult reading club seeks members The Ramsey Public Library invites the borough’s adult cardholders to participate in the summer reading club, Novel Destinations. For every book review slip filled out, an entry into the grand prize contest is made. Entry forms are available at the circulation desk. Two Novel Destinations tote bags chock full of goodies and runner-up prizes will also be awarded. Seniors are invited to join the outdoor bocce group, or get out in the early 8 a.m. and join the walkers for a stroll, followed by coffee at the center, play shuffle board, pool, ping pong, chess, or bocce.
