July 20, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • Page 7 Ramsey Ramsey Police Officer Timothy Shoemaker recently received an award from the Ramsey Board of Education for his service as the district’s DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) officer. “Tim has been our DARE officer for seven years,” said Dater School Principal Michael Gratale. “In the past, he has received DARE Officer of the Year in New Jersey. This year, he’s been awarded National DARE Officer of the Year.” Tony Kemps, assistant to the superintendent and supervisor of health, physical education, and technology, noted that Shoemaker has made a big contribution to the district’s drug and alcohol education program. “Officer Shoemaker is the face of the Ramsey Police Officer Shoemaker recognized by board of education Department to our students at the most critical time of their development,” said Board of Education President John J. Nunziata. “He instills character and high ideals in every student he encounters.” At left: BOE President John J.
