Mission at the Eastward to continue this month
Every year for the past 26 years, the First Presbyterian Church in Ramsey has sent a team of volunteers to MATE, Mission at the Eastward, to work on homes in Farmington, Maine. The group of volunteers builds and repairs homes for those who cannot physically or financially do so for themselves. The group of 17 adults and young people were commissioned during worship service before family and friends. They will travel to Maine the last week in July with tools and building supplies. The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer will hold its Vacation Bible School Aug. 8 through 12. Children ages four through grade four are invited to participate in “PandaMania: Where God is Wild about You!” Activities include Party Time Sing and Play, Wild Bible Adventures, Crazy Crafts, Bamboo Blast Games, Movie Mania, and Treetop Snacks and Treats.
Vacation Bible School holds registration, seeks volunteers
The program will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon each day. Children must be four years of age by Oct. 1. Volunteers are needed to help with activities.
