Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • July 20, 2011 Ramsey Two student athletes join 1,000 point club at RHS Two basketball stars have achieved the elite 1,000 point club at Ramsey High School. Jill Padovano, a recent graduate of Ramsey High School, reached 1,000 career points on Feb. 8 versus Indian Hills High School. Going into the game, Padovano needed 25 points to reach her goal. That night, she led all Ramsey scorers by hitting her mark of exactly 25 points. She went on to conclude her basketball career at Ramsey with a total of 1,117 points. Padovano was a senior captain, received First Team All-League honors, Third Team All-County honors, and was voted Team MVP. Tommy Reynolds, who just finished his junior year, reached 1,000 career points on Feb. 17 versus River Dell. Reynolds scored 430 points in the season, bringing his current total to 1,058 points heading into his senior season. Reynolds efforts garnered him First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-County honors. The Bergen Highlands-Ramsey Rotary Club is a member of Rotary International and sponsors activities that benefit both the local community and international public service projects, including a school, clinic, and orphanage in Haiti. The club provides extensive support locally for the Center for Food Action and Habitat for Humanity, and scholarships for local students. Members also participate in Ramsey Day, Upper Saddle River Day, and Mahwah Day, with all proceeds going toward the club’s charitable activities.
