For every book review slip filled out, an entry into the grand prize contest is made. Entry forms are available at the circulation desk. Two Novel Destinations tote bags chock full of goodies and runner-up prizes will also be awarded. Farmers Market underway The Ramsey Farmers Market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Main Street train station, rain or shine. A schedule of special events, children’s activities, and musical performances is available at www.ramseyfarmersmarket.org, where visitors may also sign up for a weekly e-mail about market specials. Visitors are encouraged to join the Pay it Forward program by dropping off non-perishable food items at a designated market table. Minor league, major win the rich history of Ramsey’s farming past with purchase of the RHA’s publications “Images of America: Ramsey” by Ron Kase, and “Portraits of Ramsey” by Naoma Welk. The historic Ramsey Train Station built in the 1840s was the depot for local farmers who brought their produce for transport to Paterson and beyond. Summer reading program to begin Ramsey patrons of all ages are invited to participate in the Ramsey Free Public Library’s Summer Reading programs: “One World, Many Stories” for children, “You Are Here” for teens, and “Novel Destinations” for adults. The journey around the world, celebrating multiculturalism, will run through Aug. 4. Live performers, book clubs, crafts, and prizes for all readers will be featured. Seniors announce events Outdoor activities for Ramsey Seniors are in full swing. Seniors are invited to join the outdoor bocce group, or get out in the early 8 a.m. and join the walkers for a stroll, followed by coffee at the center, play shuffle board, pool, ping pong, chess, or bocce. The Crafty Ladies will continue to crochet and knit on Mondays at 1:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoon movies are still featured.
