Page 16 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • July 13, 2011 Ramsey Torch Run with a twist nets $2K for Special Olympics The men and women of the Ramsey Police Officer’s Benevolent Association, PBA Local 155, participated in the 2011 Torch Run, a fundraiser for the Special Olympics. For the first time, members of the community were invited to run with the PBA members. The run consisted of a 3.5-mile leg through the borough and into Upper Saddle River, where the torch was passed. Members of the Ramsey Police Department, Ramsey Ambulance Corps, Bergen County Police Academy, the United States Army Recruiters’ Ramsey office, and Ramsey residents raised approximately $2,000 to benefit Special Olympics.
