The Greater Ramsey Chapter of UNICO National recently hosted a holiday luncheon and afternoon of activities for the benefit of the senior residents living at The Woodlands Senior Housing Community in downtown Ramsey. Dorothy Verdone, UNICO luncheon chairperson, oversaw the event. Activities included karaoke featuring American popular music from the ‘40s through the ‘80s with Italian language and popular sing-along tunes. Together, the guest residents and the Ramsey UNICO volunteers enjoyed an afternoon of great food, music, and dancing. After the luncheon, each guest was given a take home package for dinner. The Greater Ramsey UNICO Chapter locally conducts fundraising events with the proceeds used for scholarships, local mental health programs, supporting children with disabilities, cancer research, fighting Cooley’s Anemia, senior citizens’ programs, promoting Italian studies, and preserving the Italian heritage. HARDING WINE & SPIRIT
Wow! We knew it was good, but not in our wildest imagination did we think Coastal Vines would become such a success in our store. We have people coming from towns all over Bergen County buying cases of Coastal Vines. Thanks to Coastal Vines and this newspaper, at our last count we have sold 6,659 bottles. Unbelievable but true! Remember it tastes like a $10 bottle of wine but we are selling it for only $5.01!
