The Ridgewood YMCA, in cooperation with The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation, is now offering F.I.T Together at the YMCA, and Danny’s Red Ball Weekend at Camp Bernie. Both programs benefit adolescents and young adults living with autism spectrum disorders. F.I.T. Together at the YMCA is a fitness independence training program for youth and young adults ages 16 through 30. The program incorporates a small group step aerobics exercise class specifically designed to improve the participants’ fitness, coordination, socialization, self-confidence, and independence. Each participant is paired with a volunteer peer mentor for support and encouragement.
