The EMT course is currently 120 hours and is given in fall, spring, and summer sessions at Public Safety Institute in Mahwah and at the Bergen County EMS Training Center in Paramus. Both daytime and evening classes are offered. Company #1 is proud of the accomplishments of the four newest EMTs. Mahwah Ambulance and Rescue Squad Company #1 provides emergency medical services to residents, visitors, and those who work in Mahwah. Last year, this allvolunteer company answered 954 calls. The squad welcomes new members, both EMTs and drivers. Experience is not nessecary.
