The group will hear a discussion by a retail nursery on how they select, propagate, grow, ship, and market plants. The first portion of the meeting, which features the speaker, is open to the public. The program is held at Holiday Bowl in Oakland on Fridays at 4 p.m., beginning Feb. 11 and is open to children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Bumper bowling will be available for the younger children. The cost of the program is $65 per participant. Fundraiser will benefit play center The New Park ‘N Play at 15 Shuart Lane in Ramsey will hold a fundraiser at Pizza Fusion of Ridgewood on Thursday, Feb. 3. The day of the event, Pizza Fusion, located at 33 Godwin Avenue in Ridgewood, will donate 10 percent of the total receipts for every delivery, carry out, or dine-in order by customers who mention The New Park ‘N Play. The New Park ‘N Play, a non-profit organization run by volunteer parents, provides a creative, safe, and clean indoor play center for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Auxiliary to host Alzheimer’s Association speaker tional program, is designed for men and women who have -or are at risk of -- osteoporosis, a common medical problem in the later years. Exercises are directed toward improving muscle and bone strength, balance, and flexibility. The program stresses the importance of exercise, nutrition, safety, and lifestyle factors related to osteoporosis. The orientation for the new Project Healthy Bones class will be held at the Ramsey Senior Center at Finch Park on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 2:30 p.m. Residents may register for the program at that time and pick up a physician’s approval form. Space is limited and admission will be based on when completed physician approval forms are received. Project Healthy Bones classes are free. The one-hour classes are scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Senior Center. The current Tuesday Project Healthy Bones class will continue indefinitely. Club plans meeting, Casino Night The Junior Woman’s Club of Ramsey will meet Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ramsey Ambulance Corps Building, 41 South Island Avenue. New members are welcome.
