He is the stepson of Carole Schwartz of Glen Rock. The bride-to-be, daughter of the late Michael Marsh, graduated from Smithtown High School in 2002 and from Ithaca College in 2006. She received a master’s degree in education from Pace University in 2008. She is a senior recruitment associate at Teach for America. Her fiancé graduated from Glen Rock High School in 1991 and from Tulane University in 1995. He received a master’s degree in social work from New York University in 2002. He is a clinical supervisor for the Sage Program at Glen Rock Middle/High School and maintains a private practice in Ridgewood. A November 2011 wedding is planned. Mr. and Mrs. George Mellides of Allendale have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lauren, to Dimitri Venekas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kyriakos Venekas of Brooklyn, New York. The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Northern Highlands High School and received a degree in economics from Rutgers University in 2005. She is currently completing her master’s in business administration at William Paterson University. She has been employed by Stryker Orthopedics in Mahwah for the last five years and currently holds the position of global brand manager. Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and received his degree in integrated information systems from Long Island University in 2002. He is a systems administrator at Moon Capital Management in New York City. A winter 2011 wedding is planned. Jeannette M. Heredia, daughter of Keith and Nancy Cauwenberghs of Allendale and granddaughter of Lorraine Strangfeld of Ramsey, married Shawn R. Sterbinsky, son of Randy and Mary Sterbinsky of Ramsey and grandson of Donald and Anne Stricker of Mahwah, on June 25. The beach wedding was followed by a sunset reception at the Westin of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Kim Raney served as maid of honor and Erin Sterbinsky as bridesmaid. Groomsmen included best man Brendan Sterbinsky and Scott Stewart. The bride is a graduate of Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, and Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. She is an elementary school teacher at the Gilbert Avenue School in Elmwood Park. The groom is a graduate of Ramsey High School in Ramsey, and of Rowan University in Glassboro. He is a teacher at the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School. Following a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean, the couple resides in Bergen County.
