(continued from page 24) a team of fellow Scouts and volunteers in refurbishing Ramsey’s Gretchen Dater Park on Grove Street. With donations from local businesses, he was able to secure all the necessary materials needed to complete the project. The project consisted of a major cleanup. Trees and all existing shrubbery were pruned. The stone path that winds through the park was reclaimed, and an edging was added. New mulch was added to all the existing flower beds and to the newly created beds. Azaleas were planted along the front edge of the park, as were two trees donated by the Ramsey Shade Tree Commission. Two benches on either side of the memorial plaque were sanded, stained, and painted. The Gretchen Dater plaque was cleaned and new landscaping added around the memorial area. Sisti worked as a camp counselor at Camp Yaw Paw, a day camp for Cub Scouts. For the past three summers, he has held the position of nature director and plans to continue in the summer ahead. The new Eagle Scout is a graduate of Ramsey High School, where he was a member of the Italian Club and used his leadership skills as a teaching assistant in the food and nutrition class. He is currently a freshman at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, where he is studying biology.
