Page 4 THE VILLADOM TIMES IV • August 24, 2011 Mahwah Annual Performing Arts Dinner Series to begin The Ramapo College Foundation will launch its Twelfth Annual Performing Arts Dinner Series Sunday, Sept. 25 with Magic off the Hook! starring Tommy Wind. This program will be held at The Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts. Those who become benefactors and patrons of the program will be invited to a gourmet dinner featuring a multi-choice buffet with fine wines and preferred seating for the performance. Time Out Magazine calls Wind a “mind boggling” magician, and Awe Magazine says, “He takes the audience to another place.” Wind won “Best Teen Magician of the Year” recognition from the World Magic Awards. Now 21, he is the youngest magician to have his own show on the Las Vegas strip and to have achieved the title of Master Illusionist. Additional performances in the series include one of the most engaging ensembles in the history of Irish music, Cherish the Ladies, an Irish Christmas Show set for Sunday, Dec. 11. The quick and unassuming standup comedy of Paul Poundstone will follow on Saturday, March 24, 2012. The Songs of Frank Sinatra will be performed by Cary Hoffman on May 5, 2012. Hosted by The Ramapo College Foundation, this specially packaged series is a way for philanthropic patrons to experience outstanding entertainment while supporting college scholarships, faculty and student research opportunities, and campus capital projects. Liberty Hyundai, Liberty Subaru, Sharp, and ShopRite are the sponsors for the series. The two levels of support for the Performing Arts Dinner Series are benefactor, which includes two reserved tickets to each of the four dinners and performances at $1,275; and patron, which includes one ticket for any of the four performances at $115.
