He was a classically trained musician since the age of three. He moved to Orlando to pursue an education and career in music. He opened and produced at The Music Lab in the Winter Park Village. He attended Full Sail University in Florida. He is survived by his wife Lauren Connery, his mother Michelle, his father Ron, and his siblings Adam and Katie. Elwood of Barnegat, formerly of Waldwick and Hawthorne, died Sept. 4. He was 82. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a self-employed carpenter in the greater Bergen County area. He was a parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Barnegat. He is survived by his wife husband of Gail (nee McCrea) Elwood of Barnegat, his children Frank Elwood Jr., Brian Elwood, Karen Andronaco, Patrick Elwood, and Mark Elwood, 12 grandchildren, and his siblings John Elwood of Waldwick, Catherine Elwood of Manahawkin, and Margaret Elwood of Hawthorne. He was predeceased by his parents John and Fanny Elwood, his daughter Susan Gail Elwood, his brother Paul Elwood, and his nephew Jack Elwood. Arrangements were made by Browning Forshay Funeral Home in Hawthorne. Eustace Fotiu of Mahwah died Sept. 10. He was 81. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He attended City College of New York and received his bachelor of science in physics and mathematics from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. He was an adjunct professor of pharmacy at Saint John’s University, and attended Columbia University School of Business and Management in New York City and Newark College of Engineering. He holds an honorary degree in dermatology. His career spanned 45 years in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry beginning with Avon and moving on to vice president of research and development at Pfizer Coty Division. He spent 20 years with Revlon as executive senior vicepresident and vice-president of international business overseeing plants worldwide. He was senior vice president of Halston Bourgese and owned E.F. Consultants. He was an early pioneer in discovering alternatives to animal testing in cosmetic chemical testing and created and developed 12 patents. He held memberships with the American Chemical Society, American Academy of Dermatology, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Karen, Dennis, Ronald, and Huey, six Alexander Richard Assoian grandchildren, and his siblings Ernest and Anna Marie. Craig Thomas Lohmann of Mahwah, formerly of Waldwick, died Sept. 13. He was 24. He was a graduate of Mahwah High School Class of 2006. He attended Bergen Community College in Paramus. He was employed by Pathmark Supermarket in Ramsey. He is survived by his parents Thomas and Frances (nee Fless) Lohmann of Mahwah, his siblings Andrew T., and April Lohmann, both of Mahwah, his grandmother Dolores Lohmann of Midland Park, and several aunts and uncles. Cherry Marshall of Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes died Sept. 14. She was 67. She was a graduate of the University of Manitoba, worked in Switzerland as a bilingual secretary and in public relations in both Montreal and Toronto. She was a member of Arcola Country Club in Paramus, where she was a six-time Ladies’ Club Championship winner. She was also a member of Hawk’s Nest Golf Club in Vero Beach, Florida and of Royal Westmoreland Golf Club in Barbados. She was a former president of the Women’s New Jersey Golf Association and a member of the Garden State Women’s and the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Associations. He was a graduate of Mahwah High School Class of 1987. She is survived by her children Carol Schandel of Oxford, North Carolina and Susan Moleti of Franklin Lakes, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He worked in the personal trust department of the Irving Trust Company. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ridgewood, and was a member of the Hobbyists. He is survived by his children R. Douglas Scott Jr. of Eastham, Massachusetts and Joanne V. Scott of New Haven, Vermont, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea M. Norton and $4,718 for Municipal Prosecutor Richard Rosa. Councilman Robert Schoepflin explained that a separate ordinance, which has been introduced and is scheduled for adoption on Sept. 22, will increase the water rate by eight percent for commercial users and five percent for homeowners. The increase was made necessary by limited water use, due to the heavy rainfall this summer. Mayor Vince Barra noted that this ordinance is part of a gradual effort to establish the same water rate for residential and commercial water customers, which should come to pass in another three years.
