Lillian J. Ebneth, nee Boles, of Ramsey died Aug. 29. For 40 years, she was a parishioner of Saint Paul’s Church in Ramsey, where she taught religious education, was a Eucharistic minister and senior altar server, and volunteered at the parish office. She is survived by her children Christopher Ebneth of Randolph, Timothy Ebneth of Kinderhook, New York, and Roberta Travis of Long Valley, five grandchildren, and her brother John Boles. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ebneth. Arrangements were made by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home in Ramsey. She is survived by her brothers Salvatore and Martin, and her niece Cynthia. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent, and her sons Michael and Perry. Herman “Hy” Halpern of Ho-Ho-Kus died Aug. 28. He was 88. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. His career was in the restaurant business. He is survived by his wife Dove Halpern, his son Michael Halpern, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Teri Bekeley. Arrangements by Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel in Paramus. Genevieve Lembo Jerome of Ridgewood, formerly of Hawthorne, has died. She was a graduate of Hawthorne High School. After attending Traphagen School of Design in New York, New York, she worked at Montgomery Ward in Manhattan. She is survived by daughters Nina Jerome Sutcliffe of Bangor, Maine and Kathleen Jerome of River Edge, four grandchildren, and her sisters Josephine Anderson of Ramsey and Mary Randall of Mountville, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband Homer A. Jerome and her brother Frank Lembo. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Missonellie of Hawthorne died Aug. 30. He was 60. Before retiring in 2007, he was a sergeant with the Wyckoff Police Department, where he had been employed for 32 years. He is survived by his children Jessica Evans of Willow Springs, North Carolina, Michael Missonellie of Hawthorne, and Julie and Morgan Missonellie of Garner, North Carolina. He was a bank examiner with the New York State Banking Department for many years and later worked for the U.S. State Department Services. Dolores “Lori” Shepperd, nee Martin, of Ridgewood died Aug. 22. She was 81. She was a member of Ridgewood Country Club and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood. She is survived by her sons George (Buddy) Shepperd and Hambleton (Tad) Shepperd, both of Wyckoff, and Michael Shepperd of Midland Park, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Wagoner of Paramus, formerly of Midland Park, Wanaque, Ramsey, and East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, died Aug. 27. She was 77. She was a graduate of Ridgewood High School’s Class of 1952. She attended the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, and Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. She had been employed for several years as an interior designer in New York City, and then as a graphic artist at Conti Advertising in Ridgewood. She is survived by her sister Nancy Groo of Waldwick, her nephews David of Chicago Illinois and Matthew of Hoboken, her niece Rebecca Brenkert of Midland Park, two grandnephews, and two grand-nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Walter Wagoner and her companion Edward Sokoly. Arrangements were made by Vander Platt Funeral Home in Wyckoff.
