Set in Boston and New York from 1968 through 2000, the novel inspired the creation of the 2006 feature-length film of the same name. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. The book club welcomes new members and drop-ins regardless of residency. The library is located at 19 East Prospect Street in Waldwick. For more information, call (201) 652-5104. All of the models in the exhibit are in the scale of 1/72. (One inch in length is equivalent to 72 inches.) The Aquinas Scholars program is a rigorous sequence of courses designed for highly motivated, academically gifted students. Exceptional freshmen were selected for the program as a result of their outstanding academic achievements in grades seven and eight, and their excellent performance on the Archdiocese admissions exam and Paramus Catholic’s scholarship exam. Aquinas Scholars receive a substantial scholarship that is renewable as long as they remain in the program. Photographer’s work displayed The photography of Roger Hughes (pictured) is on display at the Waldwick Library. The exhibit, which will remain open through Oct. 31, features dramatic aviation photography, landscapes, bridges, wildlife, and a personal favorite: the Fire Island Light House in New York. Hughes recently moved to Waldwick from Long Island. He retired from a major airline to start an aviation con- sulting business and to spend more time traveling and developing his photography skills. He credits his son for introducing him to photography 10 years ago. Together, they enjoy going on local safaris to capture the beauty of nature. The library is located at 19 East Prospect in Waldwick. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call (201) 652-5104.
