Page 10 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • November 9, 2011 Waldwick High school students invite seniors to tea party Waldwick senior citizens got a sneak preview of the upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland at the Waldwick Middle School recently as part of the district’s “Seniors in School” program. Seniors were invited to an “Alice in Wonderland” tea party, complete with miniature food, followed by a rehearsal of the production, to be staged on Nov. 18 and 19 in the high school Little Theater. Seniors can return on Wednesday, Nov. 17 to view the dress rehearsal free of charge. The “Seniors in School” program, sponsored during school year by the Consumer Services Department, features lunch and a presentation. Gemologist Jim Zumbano of Plaza Jewelers, a lesson in using Google by the computer department and a music review were previous attractions. From 12 to 20 seniors attend the bimonthly events. “It was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised,” said new attendee Louise Albarella, whose granddaughter played the Queen of Hearts in the production.
