Waldwick
Chamber’s 5K Run draws hundreds to borough
Nearly 500 enthusiastic members of the community turned out for the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce’s Fourth Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk. This year, race day was sunny and pleasant, much to the delight of the participants and spectators. Those in attendance included Waldwick Mayor Russell ‘Buddy’ Litchult, Race Director Stan Kowalski, Chamber President Christine Figliuolo, and Chamber Secretary Kim Post. Presenting Sponsor Massage Envy offered massages, and Dr. Andrew Matassa of Waldwick Family Chiropractic helped stretch runners before the race. ‘Frantic,’ a local classic rock band, performed at the finish line, and DJ Willie provided music and event announcements throughout. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Waldwick community, with a special donation given to the ‘Kisses 4 Kelly’ fundraising effort. Top overall winners included Brian Taylor of Waldwick, and Lynn Frampton of Franklin Lakes.
