He is survived by his wife Mickey (Hauck) Conklin, his children Robert W. Conklin, Paul D. Conklin, Steven M. Conklin, and Thomas E. She was 88. She had a long career in real estate in Northwest Bergen County. She is survived by her children Judith Gardiner of Miami, Florida, and David DeRosa of Hollywood, Florida, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her brother Michael Esposito of Naples, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Fischkelta. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Victor C. James Jr. of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Ramsey, died April 16. He was 78. He was a parishioner of Saint Paul’s RC Church in Ramsey. He is survived by his wife Lois James, his children Patrick, Victor, Anne Marie, Lois, Edward, Kevin, and Terrence, and 12 grandchildren. Kloeber Sr. of Ramsey died April 9. He was 93. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He was the owner of West Englewood Market in Teaneck. He was a member of the Saddle River Fire Department for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Anna Kloeber, his children Leonard Jr. of Minnesota and Steve of Ramsey, and four grandchildren. She was an employee of River Dell Middle School in River Edge. She was a former employee of the Fair Lawn School District and the Pennsylvania Railroad. She is survived by her children Amy of Glen Rock and Eric of Berlin, Maryland, three grandsons, and her sister Carol Gore of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Before retiring in 1995, he was a lieutenant in the Ridgewood Fire Department and was the owner of Ed’s Lawn Sprinklers. Most recently, he was employed as a realtor for Gilsenan Realty in Ridgewood. He was survived by his wife Judith “Judy” (nee Hill) Outslay of Midland Park, his daughters Tracey Outslay of Stamford, Connecticut, and Donna Yaccarino of Allendale, two grandchildren, and his brother Marinus Outslay of Florida. Yvonne Bordia Sweeney, nee Nicholls, of Franklin Lakes, died April 21. While living in Australia, she was a business manager. She was a volunteer for Kurth Cottage at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. She was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes. She is survived by her nephew Charles Kahwaty of Franklin Lakes, and her sister Lurline Horton of Australia. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Sweeney, and her siblings Patricia M. Sarah Swenson of Wyckoff, formerly of Ringwood, died March 27. She was 95. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church XYZs, the Saint Elizabeth’s Senior Club, and the Wyckoff Seniors. She is survived by her children Donna Brovero of Wyckoff and Tom Swenson of Oakland, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Crine. Saddle River There was no contest in the Saddle River Board of Education election, where voters approved the $7,145,947 tax levy associated with the $8,659,563 budget 131-49. The owner of a home assessed at the borough’s average of $1,680,000, will experience a school tax increase of $106. John Lasalandra won the one, three-year term on the board with 143 ballots. Keith Pennell won election to the one-year unexpired term with 150 votes. Both incumbents ran unopposed. Lasalandra grew up in Ringwood and moved to Saddle River 14 years ago. He is a graduate of Lakeland Regional High School and William Paterson University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications. He was a journalist and TV news anchor before becoming a stay at home father. Pennell, who has been a borough resident for 12 years, has been in the investment banking and private equity investment fields. He attended Deerfield Academy in Vermont and graduated from Middlebury College with degrees in economics and art history. He has coached young people of various ages in competitive ski racing and lacrosse. His children attend the local schools. He has served on the Saddle River Board of Education since 2005. Victor C.
