Waldwick Watch
Hydrant maintenance underway The Borough of Waldwick reminds residents that the water department will be flushing fire hydrants in District 3 through April 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents are advised not to do laundry or take a shower during these hours. Residents may experience some discoloration in their water, the result of the settling of minerals naturally found in the water. Borough officials report that the discoloration does not cause any health problems and the remedy is to let the water run a short time to clear up. The borough will not be held liable for any clothes that are damaged due to this process. If problems persist, call (201) 6525300, extension 240. The water department is converting all water meters from remote and manual to radio meters. Anyone with a meter that has not been changed should call the department at (201) 652-5300, extension 240 to make an appointment.
