Following the presentation, weather permitting, a powerful telescope will be set up outdoors for viewing the moon, the rings of Saturn, and other beautiful objects in the night sky. International award winner Manning is a retired astrophysicist. His background includes work with NASA, the Chandra XRay Observatory (launched on the space shuttle with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics), and other groundbased observatories such as Brookhaven National Laboratory.
