Also being purchased are platinum pieces (with or without stones), coins, silverware, bowls, and other tableware or decorative items and accessories. Fish & Chips Dinner set Trinity Episcopal Church will host a Fish & Chips Dinner on Thursday, April 7 form 5 to 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Guardian Angel Church, located at the corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Allendale Avenue. Catered by Tastefully British, the dinner will include fish, chips, coleslaw, beverage, and dessert. Take out is available. Tickets are $13 and will be available through April 3. Local bank supports AFEE The Allendale Foundation for Educational Excellence, in an effort to raise money for Hillside and Brookside schools, is asking residents who have accounts with TD Bank to link new or existing accounts to AFEE through the TD Bank Affinity Program. There is no cost to any member, and all banking information is completely confidential. The organization needs a minimum of 50 households to link their accounts for TD Bank to give AFEE a percentage of average balances across all accounts (e.g., checking, savings, money market, CD, and retirement accounts. As an additional incentive, TD Bank will deposit $25 into newly opened non-interest bearing checking accounts. AWC Fashion Show update Ticket holders for The Allendale Woman’s Club’s Fashion Show may preregister on Wednesday, March 30 from 1 to 5 p.m. upstairs in the Allendale Borough Hall, 500 West Crescent Avenue. Lenten events underway Highlands Presbyterian Church’s traditional soup and bread suppers will be held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. now through April 13. Bring a soup bowl and spoon and join the group for warm fellowship. An offering will be taken up for the church’s mission treasury, which is used for local, national, and global ministries. A video and discussion will follow each supper at 7 p.m. During Holy Week, a seder will be held on Maundy Thursday, April 21, at 6 p.m. The Good Friday (April 22) service will be at 8 p.m. Easter Sunday (April 24) services will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. Highlands Presbyterian Church is located at 270 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale.
