While in Pennsylvania, he worked in the coal mines. Before retiring, he was employed at Ford Motor Company in Mahwah. He was a member of The VFW Post 1049, The American Legion Post 57 and The Golden Club. He attended Saint Luke’s RC Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. He is survived by his sons John Augusta of Waldwick, Thomas Augusta of Portland, Pennsylvania, and Robert Augusta. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Alice Augusta (nee Kukla). Allendale Notebook Thrift shop sets Saturday sale The Clothes Line Thrift Shop will be open on Saturday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. New this season is a section for plus size women, and a redesigned clothing and toy area for children. Spring items are arriving daily. The shop now has a large collection of pants for men and women. The Clothes Line Thrift Shop is located in the Archer United Methodist Church at the corner of Franklin Turnpike and East Allendale Avenue in Allendale. Craft show to be held at Northern Highlands A quality Craft Show featuring over 90 exhibitors will be held at Northern Highlands Regional High School, 298 Hillside Avenue in Allendale March 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items featured at the show will include fiber; turned wood bowls; fine photography; pottery; florals; handmade silver, bead, coin, and stone jewelry; chocolates; apparel; girl’s hair accessories and embellished clothing; and denim quilts and jackets. There will also be table runners and placemats; fused glass dishware; pressed flower serving plates; decoupage; tie dye; American Girl doll clothing; ceramics; handmade soaps, lotions, and candles; Civil War and collectible baseball card displays; wood furniture; country and garden items; stained glass; trays made from wine bottles; paintings; and origami. Face painting available and door prizes will also be available. The show will be set up in the vestibule, gym, and café, where a breakfast and lunch menu will be served. There will be two entrances to the show, one in the front and the other at the side of the school off the parking lot. Admission is $3.
