Before retiring, he was president of Kinney Shoes, where he had been employed for 45 years. He was the founder of Foot Locker, a subsidiary of Kinney Shoes. He was a member of the Retail Shoe Council of America, a member of the President’s Physical Fitness Council, and a member of the Montvale Evangelical Free Church in Montvale. He is survived by his wife June (nee Wicklund), his children Marilyn Bristow, James C. Anderson, and Robert M. Anderson, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister Gloria Bergeson. Budin, nee Novo-Mesky, of Shewsbury, Massachusetts, formerly of Lacy Township and Upper Saddle River, died June 14. She had been employed at Weber and Graft Thread Cutting Company in West New York and then by the Joseph Turner Company in Ridgefield. She assisted her husband, a licensed pharmacist, at the Shaler Pharmacy in Ridgefield for many years. She was a 60-year member of the Bogota Amore Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of several Lutheran Church congregations. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Krausser, her nephew Dr. Russ Krausser of Boston, Massachusetts, and her niece Audrey Benda of Moneta, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband Charles A. She was 93. She was a teacher and librarian in Upper Saddle River. She served on the boards of the Upper Saddle River Library and Northern Highlands High School, and the town’s Visions 2000 and 2020 committees. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Church of the Presentation R.C. Church in Upper Saddle River. She was a 1942 graduate of Hunter College in New York. She is survived by her children Claire Capuano of Toms River, Joseph Jr. of Toms River, James of Kearny, Louis of Upper Saddle River, Margaret Capuano of Upper Saddle River, and William of Westfield; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister Claire Browne of Delray Beach, Florida. Rega, two grandchildren, and his brothers Matthew and Anthony. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ann “Dolly” Rega, and his sisters Marylu Hopkins and Joan Napolitano. He was the owner of Danline, Inc., an industrial brush manufacturing facility in Springfield. He was the founder of the Hindu Samaj Temple in Mahwah. Wojcik Mary Camilla Montuori Saddle River Valley Notes Rock ‘n Roll concert set The Fabulous Greaseband®, a seven member “Best of the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Band,” will perform a summer concert on the lawn at the Upper Saddle River Library on Friday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Upper Saddle River Library and the Upper Saddle River Recreation Department. Open to Upper Saddle River residents of all ages, the event will be held rain or shine. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets. Parking is available at Lions Park. Pizzarelli to perform The Saddle River Summer Concert Series will continue July 14. Jazz guitarist and banjoist Bucky Pizzarelli will perform at 7 p.m. at the Rindlaub Park Band Shell located behind the municipal building at 100 East Allendale Road. Keegan display features study in yellow Photographer Denise Keegan will offer her “Prism: A Study of Color – Yellow” exhibit in the Solarium Gallery of the Upper Saddle River Library. The display features natural and manmade items that are yellow. A meet-the-artist reception will be held on Saturday, June 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. The library is at 245 Lake Street in Upper Saddle River. Club welcomes new members The Saddle River Valley Junior Woman’s Club welcomes new members. The club’s work involves community outreach projects and fundraisers for non-profit organizations on the local, regional, and state levels.
