June 1, 2011 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 3 Ho-Ho-Kus Pattman sworn in as police department’s lieutenant and congratulations from all those present, including the council members and Police Chief John Wanamaker. Chief Wanamaker has praised his new lieutenant, who is the police department’s second-in-command, for his many years of hard work, his leadership qualities, and for the excellent rapport he maintains with the other members of the department. Until his official promotion last week, Pattman had been the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department’s detective sergeant. Patrolman Jaime Bodart will now handle the lead detective’s post, with assistance from Pattman. Mayor Randall detailed Pattman’s history with the force, explaining that the lieutenant had been hired as a police dispatcher in 1984, sworn in as a patrolman in 1987, and became a detective in 1998. He was promoted to sergeant in 2001, and became the department’s detective and juvenile officer. Pattman is also a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Noting Pattman’s ties to Ho-Ho-Kus, Randall pointed out that the lieutenant’s father Jack had been a long-time Ho-HoKus police officer and chief, and Pattman’s brother Jeff is the department of public works’ present superintendent of roads, buildings, and grounds. Pattman grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus. He is a graduate of Midland Park High School and of Bergen Community College, where he earned a degree in criminal justice. Over the years, he has received multiple commendations for apprehensions and for closing burglary cases, and earned the Life Saving Award for his role in handling a recent hostage situation. He and his wife reside in Midland Park with their children, Allison, Eric, and Sean.
