Metabolic, weight loss surgery support offered The Valley Hospital’s Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery is currently offering three bariatric surgery support groups. The Sleeve Gastrectomy Support Group meets the first Monday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the center, located at 579 Franklin Turnpike in Ridgewood. The Gastric Bypass Support Group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 6 to 7 p.m., and the Gastric Band Support Group meets the third Thursday every month from 6 to 7 p.m. These two support groups meet at Valley’s Kraft Center at 15 Essex Road in Paramus. The groups are for those who are thinking about weight loss surgery, or those who have already undergone surgery. During the first half-hour of each meeting, participants talk about any clinical issues they are facing. She became a customer service representative for the Teaneck office in 2005 and later transferred to the position of administrative assistant with the Wyckoff commercial lending team. Nobre is involved with her church, is on the parish council, and will soon become a Eucharistic minister. She resides in Lodi. Novak joined Lakeland Bank as vice president/team leader of the Wyckoff commercial lending group, and was promoted to senior vice president/team leader in 2007. Novak serves as the trustee/treasurer for Allendale Housing Inc., a not-for-profit organization that is active in the development of housing for developmentally disabled individu-

als. In addition, he holds several board/trustee/membership positions with local not-for-profit organizations, charities, and building trade organizations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance/economics and his MBA in finance from Montclair State University. He resides in Allendale. Shea-Nomer joined Lakeland Bank as assistant branch manager for the Pompton Plains office and transferred to the new Cedar Crest Village office. In 2006, Shea-Nomer was promoted to branch manager of both the Cedar Crest and Woodland Commons offices, and in 2009 she was promoted to assistant vice president. Shea-Nomer resides in Vernon. Zeek joined the former Newton Trust Company in 2001 as a teller manager and advanced her career within retail banking. In January 2009, she was promoted to assistant vice president/assistant branch administrator. She serves as an education surrogate to special needs children in Sussex County and is attending Thomas Edison State College in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
