Having a field day
Recently, Allendale’s Hillside School third grade students enjoyed an afternoon at Crestwood Lake sponsored by the Allendale PTO. Students rotated through field games such as kickball, water games and three legged races. After the games, students were treated to ice cream before returning to school.
The 17th Annual Guardian Angel Carnival will be held Wednesday, July 20 through Saturday, July 23 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the church located at 320 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale. For the past several years, the annual event was cosponsored by the Wyckoff Lions Club. This year the family event is being presented by the parishioners of Guardian Angel. It will feature games, a cash prize contest, and rides, including the Family Wheel and carousel. There will be

new kiddie rides for the younger attendees. New this year is the Food Garden, where visitors are invited to purchase pasta, heroes (sausage and peppers or meatball), hamburgers, and other items prepared by parishioners while relaxing at tables in the church’s park-like setting. Ride tickets are $30 for a sheet of 26 tickets or for a wristband, which allows the wearer to ride all night. Wristbands will be available every night!
