Page 6 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • December 21, 2011 Upper Saddle River Bill Yeomans of Upper Saddle River will be the featured artist at the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center during the month of January. A special reception, which will be open to the pubic, is planned for Sunday, Jan. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the center. Yeomans will offer a brief discussion about how an artist looks at a painting and will field questions about painting techniques. Yeomans has studied with Joel Popadics and Ed Broussard at the Ridgewood Art Institute and Denise Collins at the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center. A painter of landscapes from his favorite places around the world, his love of history has inspired him to paint scenes of historical significance from the local area, capturing old barns, buildings, farms and local landmarks Yeomans exhibits artwork at Cultural Center that are fast disappearing. A retired corporate executive, Yeomans is the author of nine management and career books, one of which is a business bestseller. He is author of the “Lore of Upper Saddle River,” which was compiled for the Upper Saddle River Centennial. An avid volunteer, Yeomans is past president of the Upper Saddle River Library Board and the Upper Saddle River Historical Society. He currently serves on the Upper Saddle River Environmental Committee, co-chair of the Vision 2020 Committee, and a member of the Historic Preservation Commission. He is also Upper Saddle River’s borough historian. The cultural center is located at 305 West Saddle River Road in Upper Saddle River. SRVJWC welcomes Janosky The Saddle River Valley Junior Woman’s Club has inducted their newest member. Kate Janosky (pictured at left) grew up in town and has resided in Upper Saddle River with her family for four years. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, she previously worked in audit for PricewaterhouseCoopers and as business administrator of the Teaneck Public Schools but now enjoys raising her three children Avery, 6, Mackenzie, 4, and Nolan, 1. Her husband Keith works for Technology Crossover Ventures. They are expecting their fourth baby in March. Janosky joined the club to assist the community in aiding those less fortunate.
