The Hopper-Goetschius House Museum held its Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 11. Over a hundred youngsters visited Santa in the barn as their families snapped photos. In the schoolhouse Clement Clarke Moore gave three readings of his famous poem, ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas.’ Leigh Brannick was popping corn and roasting chestnuts over the open hearth in the out kitchen for all to taste. Families wandered through the Hopper-Goetschius House Museum all decorated for the holidays and enjoyed mulled cider and homemade cookies in Kate’s kitchen. Below: James and Emily weren’t sure about sitting on Santa’s lap but they did agree to sit in front of them for a photograph.
