Casino Night set Guardian Angel Church in Allendale will host its Third Annual Casino Night on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the church auditorium, 320 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale. Tickets are $50 and include a full buffet and $100 in “play money.” The event will also feature prize baskets and a cash prize contest. Casino Night is open to individuals age 21 and over. Clothes Line sets holiday schedule The Archer United Methodist Church’s Clothes Line Thrift Shop is will be closed from Dec. 19 through 31. The shop will reopen on Jan. 5, 2012. NHRHS Class of 1972 plans reunion Northern Highlands Regional High School Class of 72 will celebrate its 40th reunion on July 14, 2012 at the Ramsey Country Club. Current and topical books, tapes, and videos for adults and children may be purchased at bargain prices in the lobby of the Lee Memorial Library at 500 West Crescent Avenue in Allendale. On display are many children’s books, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, and current bestsellers. The sale is ongoing and the shelves are restocked daily. Books are priced from 25 cents to $1. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Proceeds from the sale go directly to the library for the purchase of new materials. He has also been a strong supporter of the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce, performing many ribbon cuttings for local businesses and participating in chamber functions such as Waldwick Day and the 5K Run. He has also officiated at 43 weddings. Born and raised in Waldwick, Litchult was on the Waldwick Police Department from 1956-70. In that time he established the Waldwick Detective Bureau, attaining the rank of lieutenant. In 1994, he retired as vice president and security director of Dime Savings Bank of New York. A Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served as a Waldwick councilman from 1972 to 1993, and then served a school board trustee. Litchult Nicole Justine Tsigaras, 10, of Allendale danced the role of Clara in Kozlov Dance International’s production of ‘The Nutcracker’ at Ramapo College’s Berrie Center for Performing Arts in Mahwah.
