Church of the Nativity sets holiday schedule Church of the Nativity in Midland Park has announced its schedule of Christmas and holy day Masses. Five Masses are planned for Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. The Children’s Family Liturgy for families with small children will be at 3:45 p.m. A Mass for the differentlyabled will be held at 5:30 p.m. Eucharistic Liturgies will be held at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the choir and congregation will sing carols before the 10 p.m. Mass. For Christmas Day, Dec. 25, Masses will be said at 10:30 a.m. and noon. The Feast of the Holy Family will be celebrated with a Eucharistic Liturgy at 12:10 p.m. on Dec. 30. The public is invited to the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on New Year’s Day at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m., or noon. Children celebrate Advent season with Children’s Pageant On Sunday, Dec. 18, Trinity Episcopal Church of Allendale, 55 George Road in Allendale, will hold a Children’s Advent Pageant. The 10 a.m. pageant will be presented by the Sunday school children of the church. The event will be followed by the traditional hanging of the greens at the church. Celebrate Christmas at Zion Zion Lutheran Church in Saddle River will offer a special service for families and children on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. The service will begin with the children’s procession and presentation, in which the youth of the congregation will carry the figures of the Holy Family to the Nativity Scene. This will be followed by a children’s sermon, Holy Communion, and candle lighting. At 11 p.m., the Festival Service with choir processional and recessional will begin. The service will feature a reading of the Christmas Story, special music by the Festival Choir, and music from the Hand Bell Choir. Holy Communion will be celebrated at this time.
