Holiday decorations are a community-wide project
Waldwick is all decked out for the holidays, and the credit goes to several businesses and organizations that stepped up to the plate again this year to make it happen. The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of President Christine Figliuolo, coordinated the effort along Franklin Turnpike, East Prospect Street and part of West Prospect, while the Waldwick Community Alliance hung wreaths on the period lampposts and put up other decorations along lower West Prospect. Chris James Landscaping provided the decorations for the clock area at the corner of Franklin Turnpike and Prospect Street, and Horizon Landscape provided the lighting.
The chamber purchased the new snowman prominently displayed on the property of Home Hardware, which also features Santa on his sleigh and is a popular magnet for children. The fresh greens baskets hanging on posts throughout the business area, also sponsored by the chamber, were created by Rohsler’s Allendale Nursery & Florist, also a chamber member. “The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce would like to acknowledge these businesses for their generous contribution to the our town,” said Figliuolo, who also thanked the borough for its support for chamber projects.
