Waldwick
Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 10 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Waldwick Gardens, 101 Wyckoff Avenue in Waldwick. Waldwick Mayor Buddy Litchult and Borough Administrator Gary Kratz will lead a group of special guests in cutting the ribbon. This event, sponsored by Pascack Community Bank, will feature food, activities, music, and prizes. Donations will be accepted for the Center for Food Action in Saddle Brook. Before the renovation project began, the Wyckoff Avenue property was an abandoned, single-family Dutch Colonial from the 1700s. The property now consists of four condominiums. The renovation project has been completed with sweat equity from the new Habitat family members, countless hours of volunteer labor, and generous donations of materials and services. Volunteers spent many hours hanging sheetrock, spackling, painting, and landscaping so these condos could become homes for four deserving families.

He will also offer biographical information about those involved in its creation, including sculptor Frederic Bartholdi, engineer Gustave Eiffel, architect Richard Morris
